Hello Everyone,
Well we are finally in Houghton!!! Today was by far the easiest day, it felt like it was mostly downhill and the adrenaline of knowing I was so close kept me going!! It started off very cloudy and misting which wasnt as bad as Thursday!! It was a very uneventful day we had a water stop at every 10 miles because of how sore my body was!! Once we got close to Houghton I cant even begin to explain the feeling I had, the whole week flashed before my eyes and I just tried to realize what I had just done. I still cant believe I finished it, it truly goes to show that you can accomplish anything you set your mind too! If you have a dream, all it takes is a little planning and you can achieve it!!
Once I made it to Michigan Technological University I got an awesome surprise when Kim, Craig, and Jimmy were there to greet me!! It was awesome to know I had so much support behind me! Between them being there and the overwhelming support I received through facebook I really realized I have the best support system anyone could ever ask for! I also have to thank my sister and my dad who rode with me all week, and my uncle and mom who joined up towards the end of the route!!
I really hope everyone that followed me learned a little something through this and now is inspired to go out and make a difference in some way! It doesnt take much, a helping hand, or even just a smile!! It doesnt have to be something extravegant the littlest thing makes the most difference!! I also hope everyone that kept up with this learned a little about what Camp Wawbeek is and how much it means to Wisconsin-Upper Michigan Circle Kers. Camp Wawbeek has truly changed all of WUM CKIers lives and we love it!!!
Thanks again for everyone that followed, and I really hope that if you haven't donated to Camp Wawbeek through my Governors Project yet that you will consider it!! It is a great cause that I absolutely love and would love to raise as much money as possible for it!!! I also am going to upload the last of the pictures from the tail end of the project later tonight so be watching for those!!!
